released right at the very end of last year 2016 I wasn t sure at that point in time if contemporary reverse harem was for me although I was am a big fan of paranormal RH The first book on this series, Raising the Stakes changed my mind on that and boy did I fall in love with it I fell in love with the characters and the setting and the story, it was purely magical. It s been a while since was I when I heard Playing to Win was releasing Jumping up and down squeeling excited was what I was As soon as this pretty book fell into my hands, and yes it s pretty, just look at those shoes on the cover SeriousShoeEnvy I dived right in, sleep, food and everything else could wait Was this book as good as book one Oh hell yeah it was, it was even better In this book we get the growth of the relationship between Emma and the boys We get the real self doubt that we all experience in any relationship, except this one is times three, however it s written so well that Emma doesn t come across irritating or annoying, in fact she comes across as a strong character who is learning to accept all the difficulties of this relationship she has chosen and embrace them to be true to who she is.We also get to learn a bitof the back story of all the boys in this book and it just made me fall in love with them evenThere were points in this book which really had me laughing, without giving too much away I m just going to say the pageant was one of the best scenes, there were parts that had me swooning in holy hotness I need these guys in my life and there were parts where I was biting my nails in worry over what was going to happen next Overall, this book was A.Ma.Zing, I loved it and when I finished it I picked it right back up to read all over again I m so excited for the next book to come out and I m so glad that I gave book one in this series a try as I really would ve regretted never reading these books if hadn t Playing to Win is a five star read from me and if I could give it 500 stars then I would Put simply, I loved it Alternate Cover Edition Of ASIN BPSSXWill Emma Rise To The Challenge Of Dating Three Men Who Are Playing To Win After Shane, Cole, And Nicholas Accept three overly competitive men children, otherwise known as the Ts This book picks up right before midnight Shane, Cole, and Nic have accepted her daring proposition placing them all in a relationship Now the question is, Who gets the first kiss at midnight This may be the only simple question posed in the book This is a book of growing pains It s difficult enough finding your way at the beginning of a new relationship, but when you are finding your way with three different men at one time, it s overwhelming The guys are all in, but Emma has doubts This book is one of the most realistic Reverse Harem stories that I have read So many stories gloss over the difficulties a unique relationship like this would have What normal female wouldn t question if she is good enough to hold the attention of three attractive, smart, successful, wealthy men What female wouldn t be afraid that they would get bored, want , and end up breaking her heart What female wouldn t wonder why me Am I special enough Emma is every woman in this regard She s pretty, smart, fun, confident, but she doubts herself once the guys agree to all be with her She s afraid The guys all pick up on her hesitancy and this creates their own fears Several missteps occur along the way Emma and the guys don t always communicate or share their feelings fears like they should Holding back doesn t make a difference though When you are falling in love, you can pretend all you want, you can try to be careful you are still vulnerable to heartbreak You can t win if you don t play This relationship, these men are too good to lose and Emma is a smart girl It s time to go all in I loved every second of this book There was a great blend of sweet, sexy, funny, and frustrating times Despite the setbacks, each relationship did move forward intoserious areas So natural I love Emma and her bestie, Simone, the guys, and Xavier I love when the guys call Emma, Cinderella and I love Snow White I loved the romance and the sexy times I love red stilettos and black peep toe boots I love the cover This book manages to show how much work is required to be a success while being incredibly fun I look forward to the next one wonder what the shoes will be Playing to win is the 2nd book in Risking It trilogy and if I m completely honest, even though this is a relatively short novel it did take me longer to finish it because I didn t find it as entertaining and allowed myself to get distracted Now that s not to say the story or the writing was bad on the contrary it s easy to follow I just felt there was a lot of humming and hurrying throughout and I got bored with it.Emma goes back and forth about her relationship with Cole, Nic and Shane Quiet Playing to win is the 2nd book in Risking It trilogy and if I m the story or the writing was bad on the contrary it s easy to follow I just felt there was a lot of humming and hurrying throughout and I got bored with it.Emma goes back and forth about her relationship with Cole, Nic and Shane Quiet often she avoids them to think rather than ask questions, opening up or being completely honest with them or herself She has a lot of reservations which are understandable but she had made the decision to give it a real go and in the first instance she s not sure Her actions are sometimes a contradiction to her personality and vice versa For example she is courageous in the face of Nic s father but not her own mother I know she made a comment about it being different when you re under the thumb all the time as opposed to when just meeting but I beg to differ, Emma obviously has a protective nature and a sense of right and wrong, we saw that when she confronted the guys about the bet, out of all of them she should be able to put her foot down when it comes to her mother.I don t know how much reassurance that the guys need to give Emma that they don t mind their unconventional relationship I felt it was overdone, and Emma was just being obtuse I think Emma has a great group of boyfriends and such supportive friends, I found bits and pieces of the book quiet entertaining especially their contest but their was so much potential to make this a great read This is book two in the Risking it series, and while it doesn t start right where the last one left off it is close enough and quickly catches you up I would not recommend reading this book without the first one, though you could manage it What I love and what sets the book apart from other reverse harem novels I have read, is this really dives into what it mean emotionally and socially to be involved in a reverse harem for a women in a real world setting Emma is insecure and wondering how co This is book two in the Risking it series, and while it doesn t start right where wondering how could they possibly be happy with sharing my time vs just having me to myself It addresses her fears over what her friends and family may think and what their family may think What an emotional toll it takes if you try to hide it The time commitment it takes to date three men and how other relationships could suffer It was wonderful to see them addressed and for Emma to make her decisions and deal with her fears and decide what really matters to her The book doesn t just focus on the difficulties of the relationship The guys continue to be their lovely selves and the romances are hot and continue to progress further into the steamy You also get a much better picture of the three guys, especially Nic and Cole These males aren t perfect, they have their issues too and Emma is there for them We also get to see Emma struggle with what she wants to do with her life and starting to discover what work she feels passionate about There is also humor in one or two scenes as a result of bets had me in stitches The end of the book sets up a mini cliffhanger that sets up book 3 but nothing too bad as far as cliffhangers I absolutely loved this second book in the Risking It series Emma is one lucky girl, but Cole, Shane, and Nicholas are blessed to have her all for themselves Emma is so so kind, smart, adventurous, witty, and a babe While her three guys are intelligent, successful, funny, sweet, talented, and oh so sexy I loved how Jessica from the Stardust series is also in this book because we get to know herI also loved Simone s spunky attitude, too Emma was maintaining her true self She learned quickly that she would rather be with her guys than care about what anyone thinks of their relationship I loved all the different sides we got to see of the guys, and each special thing they brought out of Emma They make her a better person and muchconfident, all together And she does the exact same for them, and teaches them how to love I cannot wait for the
